What is a mentee?

A mentee can be defined as a person who is advised, trained, or counselled by a mentor.

At work, a mentee may be seeking career advice, support with applying for an internal role or help developing other soft skills from their mentor.

Typically mentees are junior employees that are looking to progress or change their career but this does not always have to be the case. Their mentor could be at a similar level, from a different department or from a company that they are looking to apply to.
