Platform Terms and Conditions

Please read this agreement carefully before signing up to a Connectr platform.

By clicking on the 'I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions' checkbox, you agree to become bound by the Terms and Conditions of this agreement.

If you do not agree to all of the Terms and Conditions of this agreement, do not click on the 'I accept all Terms and Conditions' checkbox and you will not have any right to use the services.

This agreement covers:

• Your Information – how we process your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, how to control your personal information, and our approach to security.

• Your Activity on the platform – your use of our services is subject to appropriate use of the platform. Remember to treat all other users (including mentors and platform staff) with respect, and to use appropriate language, recognising that this is a professional platform.

Your Information

What we do with the information we collect

We require your information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service. We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In particular, we use your information to:

• Maintain internal records.

• Contact you about new modules, request product feedback, or encourage you to use the platform.

• Send you surveys to gather feedback on the platform.

• Improve our products and services, including our learning modules.

• Customise the platform according to your interests.

• Analyse anonymised, aggregated trends across user groups. This may be reported as general research or used to improve our services. No individual user is identified in any such reporting.

• Use your anonymised feedback to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the platform to others.

You can configure your notification preferences in your profile settings. Notifications let you know when new modules or mentors go live, remind you of upcoming activity, or alert you to registered events where applicable.

Controlling your personal information

You can modify your profile information at any time, or request deletion of information previously provided by contacting us at team@connectr.co.uk. We will not sell your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required to do so by law.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for a period of one year following the end of the programme through which you access the platform. After this period, your data will be securely deleted unless we are required by law to retain it for longer.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Nonetheless, due to the inherent risks of the internet we cannot guarantee the protection of such information against loss, misuse or alteration. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.

Platform Services

1. Term

This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect while you use the platform. We may terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice, and without liability. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject, remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the platform at any time. Where reasonably practicable, and unless circumstances require otherwise (for example where there is a safeguarding concern or a serious breach of this Agreement), we will notify the relevant organisation before taking action affecting a user's account.

2. Account and Password

To create an account through our online registration process. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree not to use another user's account, username, email address or password at any time, and not to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. You are solely responsible for all use of your account.

3. Proprietary Rights in Content on the Platform

3.1 The platform contains content owned by us ('Platform Content'). Platform Content is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other laws, and we own and retain all rights in it. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-sublicensable licence to reproduce and display Platform Content (excluding any software code) solely for your personal use in connection with viewing and using the platform.

3.2 The platform also contains content submitted by users and other licensors. Except as provided within this Agreement, you may not copy, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, transmit, distribute, perform, display, sell or otherwise use any content appearing on or through the platform.

4. Content Posted

4.1 We may reject, remove or decline to post any content that, in our judgement, violates this Agreement or is offensive, illegal, or harmful to any person or entity. Certain types of content are flagged automatically within our system and we take responsibility for following these up appropriately.

4.2 You are solely responsible for the content you post on or through the platform, and for your interactions with other users.

5. Prohibited Content and Activity

The following content and activity is prohibited on the platform. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this provision, including removing content, terminating accounts, and/or reporting to law enforcement. Prohibited content or activity includes anything that:

• 5.1 is patently offensive or promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;

• 5.2 harasses or advocates harassment of another person;

• 5.3 exploits people in a sexual or violent manner;

• 5.4 contains nudity, excessive violence, or offensive subject matter, or links to adult websites;

• 5.5 solicits personal information from anyone under 18;

• 5.6 creates a privacy or security risk to any person or organisation;

• 5.7 promotes information you know to be false or misleading, or promotes illegal, abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libellous conduct;

• 5.8 constitutes or promotes unauthorised copies of copyrighted works, such as pirated software, music or other media;

• 5.9 involves the transmission of junk mail, chain letters, or unsolicited mass messages;

• 5.10 contains restricted or password-only access pages or hidden pages not linked to an accessible page;

• 5.11 promotes criminal activity or provides instructional information about illegal activities;

• 5.12 solicits passwords or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes;

• 5.13 involves commercial activities or sales beyond normal platform use, without our prior written consent;

• 5.14 includes photographs or videos of another person posted without their consent;

• 5.15 uses sexually suggestive imagery or deceptive content intended to draw traffic to a profile;

• 5.16 violates the privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contract or other rights of any person;

• 5.17 involves criminal or tortious activity, including fraud, harassment, defamation, stalking, spamming, or sending viruses or other harmful files;

• 5.18 involves advertising to or soliciting users to buy or sell products or services through unauthorised use of the platform;

• 5.19 attempts to circumvent or modify any security technology or software forming part of the platform;

• 5.20 involves the use of viruses, bots, worms, or other code that limits or destroys the functionality of any computer software, hardware or network;

• 5.21 involves modifying, copying, distributing, scraping or transmitting content from the platform other than your own lawfully posted content;

• 5.22 involves tracking or monitoring other users' activity on the platform;

• 5.23 covers or obscures safety features such as the report button on any platform page;

• 5.24 involves automated use of the system, such as scripts to add connections or send messages in bulk;

• 5.25 interferes with or creates an undue burden on the platform or connected networks;

• 5.26 impersonates a platform employee, another user, or any other person or entity. Note: platform administrators may access your account in limited circumstances to assist with technical issues, respond to unanswered questions, or manage inactive mentor conversations. This will always be done in good faith and in your interests;

• 5.27 involves using, sharing or transferring another user's account, username or password;

• 5.28 involves selling or transferring your profile, email address or URL;

• 5.29 involves using information obtained from the platform to harass, abuse or harm any person;

• 5.30 involves displaying unauthorised commercial advertisements or accepting payment in exchange for commercial activity through the platform;

• 5.31 involves relaying email from a third party's mail servers without that party's permission;

• 5.32 involves using forged or misleading headers to disguise the origin of content transmitted through our systems;

• 5.33 involves using automated systems to harvest email addresses or other data from the platform for unsolicited communications;

• 5.34 involves generating clickthroughs through coercive, incentivised, misleading or fraudulent means; or

• 5.35 uses the platform in a manner inconsistent with any applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and require users to do the same. You may not upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available any material that infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights of any person or entity. Repeat infringers may have their account terminated.

If you believe your work has been copied and posted on the platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us by recorded delivery at team@connectr.co.uk with the following information: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on the platform; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf; and (f) your physical and electronic signature.

7. User Disputes

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users or any other parties you interact with through the platform. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to become involved in any such disputes.

8. Complaints and Concerns

If you have any concerns about content on the platform, or about how your personal data is being handled, please contact us at team@connectr.co.uk. We aim to respond to all complaints within a reasonable timeframe.
